Project: Customisation - Heavy Usage Chiller Doors for Fruit Storage
Brief: We were asked to provide a customised door solution for a customer storing fruit in a high activity application. The AUTO MOSSA solution was to replace an existing sliding panel door system that was becoming problematic with years of impact damage and wear and tear.
It was important that the replacement doors could handle the temperature variations between the chiller and ambient summertime temperatures.
Our solution was to use our HYPERFREEZE door curtain and design a compact track system that would fit with the tight confinements of a providore racking application.
The door tracks are fitted with heater cables to prevent condensation in this area.
If the doors are impacted by a forklift and dislodge from the tracks, they can easily be reinserted via the controls on the door
Results: The new door system with its efficient insulation provides good thermal resistance when installed between chiller and ambient environments. The system provides much easier access and movement of product with its wide span openings.
The doors are automatic with half height and full height openings. The doors flexible and robust design will mean costly repairs are almost non-existent.
